ACIS Consulting Inc. and Rosor Exploration have been approved as project partners for funding through the Critical Industrial Technologies (CIT) Program, delivered by the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI). The project supports development and commercialization of an expert-guided AI platform for mineral exploration data interpretation.
MARKHAM, ONTARIO – [Date] – ACIS Consulting Inc. and Rosor Exploration have been approved as project partners for funding through the Critical Industrial Technologies (CIT) Program, delivered by the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI). The funding will accelerate development and commercialization of an AI-powered geophysical interpretation platform that transforms how mineral exploration data is analyzed and applied.
The partnership combines ACIS Consulting’s expertise in artificial intelligence, large language models, agentic AI, and geospatial analytics with Rosor’s leadership in drone-based aerial geophysical surveys. Together, the companies will build a platform integrating magnetic, gravity, radiometric, electromagnetic, geological, geochemical, topographic, and drilling datasets into one expert-guided workflow.
The platform is designed to help geoscientists reduce interpretation time, improve consistency, and accelerate identification and prioritization of prospective mineral targets. By automating repeatable analytical tasks under professional oversight, it frees geoscientists to focus on high-value interpretation, validation, and exploration strategy.
The CIT Development and Commercialization program is delivered with the uOttawa-IBM Cyber Range as a CIT Technology Development Site, giving SMEs access to facilities that mimic real-world environments to test and validate their technologies, with expert feedback supporting accelerated development.
A defining feature of the project is its commitment to responsible, expert-led AI. Rosor’s geophysicists and other subject-matter experts will guide development to ensure the platform follows established geophysical principles, interpretation processes, quality-control requirements, and safety guardrails.
As the project’s lead industry validation and deployment partner, Rosor Exploration will apply the platform to real exploration projects and extend selected benefits to a group of customers. These deployments will generate feedback and performance evidence to guide product refinement and commercialization.
